The Green

Parson Drove Village Green has been the focal point of the village for a long time. It was once common land, created by an enclosure act in 1842, but is now registered as a village green.

For many years, it hosted the Village Show with the World Pillow-Fighting Championships being held on a pole across the river that runs alongside it, although the show has recently moved to the playing field behind the village hall. On the eastern side of the green is The Bank, home to the Post Office and local butcher.
