The full appendices of both the main questionnaire and the youth survey are now available in Word documnet format....--Read more--- Welcome to Parson Drove Parish Plan! Since the beginning of 2004, a dedicated team, with the backing of Parson Drove Parish Council and The Countryside Agency has been working to determine exactly what the parishioners of Parson Drove feel their village and surrounding area needs. The aim was to produce an Action Plan that will define the next ten years of projects within the parish. What are Parish Plans?
The Parish Plan is a vision of how you would like your town or village to be. For many communities it has been a stepping stone to applications for other grants. The Countryside Agency provides more details --Here-- The result of all that work is contained here. These pages provide a detailed discussion of the processes, findings and conclusions of the Parish Plan. It covers everything from sport and recreation to health services, housing to traffic issues. -- Click Here -- Want extra copies of the Parish Plan on paper or CD? -- Click Here -- In May 2004, two questionnaires was sent out to every household in the village - one 58-question document for everyone to fill in and another shorter one for the youth of the village. The results of these questionnaires, their statistical analysis and the subsequent meetings with the village to discuss our results, are all brought together in the Plan Findings section. Here you will also find details of how the parish plan was put together. All of this is then summarised in the Action Plan that sets out the aims and hopes of the parish over the next few years. There is also a Parish Profile and Interactive Map of the village of Parson Drove and the surrounding area to provide background information for those of you unfamiliar with our particular corner of Fenland, including a complete list of all the groups and organisations in the parish. The Appendices list all of the mathematical data that were used to produce the findings, if you wish to see the detailed results. The next stage is to take our Action Plan forward to actually achieve the goals that we have set out. The News page will be regularly updated with the latest progress.
